Country Style Home Introduction
Gottsmann Architects is happy to announce the successful completion of another one of our Residential projects: Country Style home on 3520.
The Project is located in the Ebotse Golf & Country Estate which is located in Benoni, a suburb in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
Project Type: Single Residential
Architectural Style: Country Style Home
Location: Ebotse Golf & Country Estate, Benoni, South Africa
Staff accommodation and amenities
Total Area: 593m²
The Project was commissioned by Mr & Mrs Price for their family in 2015 and after a few months of design and detailing, the project was approved at council and went to tender.
At the start of new year in 2016, the project went to site where it was constructed by Vestim Construction.
The design of the house is based on a country style home and has a semi-open plan interior layout. All of the entertainment and living areas are located on ground floor with the sleeping spaces making up the first floor. A separate guest wing is accessible via the garage where it doubles as an office/studio space with its own private access via the side of the house.
The House features a wrap-around patio on the golf course side of the house. This allows for undercover walkways from the lounge and TV-Room to the undercover entertainment areas. On the opposite side of the house, an undercover porch provides a sheltered and inviting welcome to the home.
Lush amounts of landscaping has been included throughout the property and is integrated with the varying degree of private and public spaces to create beautiful and tranquil spaces. The use of stone cladding enforces the natural theme of the landscaping and adds texture to the vertical surfaces.
The final product is an elegant country style home which has been finished beautifully both internally and externally. The home is clearly distinguishable from its neighbours but still blends within the larger context of its setting.
Gottsmann Architects would like to Congratulate Mr & Mrs Price on their new home!
We are looking forward to adding this project to our Portfolio of works.
